Working With Artists
As once a performer myself, I believe I am now uniquely positioned as a psychotherapist, to understand not only the pre-performance/audition nerves, but also the challenges, love, fears, and and often complex relationship with one's own artistry, that only another performer can truly understand.
My practice incorporates brain-based strategies that teach you exactly how your brain reacts to situations it has labeled as “scary” so you can then learn how to turn “nervous” energy into focus and presence.
You will learn:
-
How to identify your temperament and how temperament affects “fight/flight” nerves.
-
How to identify and silence the “inner critic”.
-
How to identify and silence the “negative predictor”.
-
How to shift habit-trained negative “what ifs” to realistic optimism.
