Working With Artists

Often we find ourselves overwhelmed by the experiences and expectations of the outside world. As a therapist I believe that this feelings of "stuckness" can often be the very place where the growth and change can begin to occur. In In individual therapy we can work together to find or rediscover your intrinsic pursuit of growth and capacity for change.

For those who have suffered traumatic exposure and experiences on the planet, it is often not enough to simply “talk about what happened”. It is my clinical opinion that often we are seeking a deeper answer to questions such as: how have these experiences shaped me, how have I been emotionally and cognitively impacted, and how can I learn, heal, and grow from the painful things that might have shaped me?

In my work, I take a unique approach blending empirically-based relevant and current neuroscience with depth psychology so as to better understand the impact of trauma on the brain-body and our daily functioning.

As a WisdomPath Way therapist and coach I believe that children arrive on the planet wired to ask the inherent questions "what do we do here?" and "how do we do it?" As parents, we are the teachers and the guides and we must do so with confidence. If you are seeking assistance with issues surrounding behavior and compliance I invite you to contact me and I would be happy to share a more in depth look into our Parenting and Reparative Parenting method.

Individual and Trauma-Informed Therapy

As once a performer myself, I believe I am now uniquely positioned as a psychotherapist, to understand the pre-performance/audition nerves that only another performer can truly understand. My practice incorporates brain-based strategies that teach you exactly how your brain reacts to situations it has labeled as “scary” so you can then learn how to turn “nervous” energy into focus and presence.

You will learn:

  • How to identify your temperament and how temperament affects “fight/flight” nerves.

  • How to identify and silence the “inner critic”.

  • How to identify and silence the “negative predictor”.

  • How to shift habit-trained negative “what ifs” to realistic optimism.
